Copperplate silicone paper is widely used in many fields such as food packaging and industrial production due to its excellent anti-adhesive properties. Accurately measuring its anti-adhesive effect is crucial to ensuring product quality and optimizing production processes.
Peel force test is a key means to measure the anti-adhesive effect of copperplate silicone paper. The peel force of release paper, that is, release force, is an important indicator for evaluating its anti-adhesive performance. During the test, professional equipment such as peel strength tester should be used and strict operating procedures should be followed. First, a tape of a specific specification is applied to the sample along the machine direction with slight finger pressure, and then a certain pressure is applied to make the sample fully contact. After being placed for a specified time, a peel test is performed at a specific angle and speed, and the maximum peel force and average peel force of the sample are obtained through data analysis. Different peel forces correspond to different anti-adhesive degrees. For example, a smaller peel force can be regarded as having a better anti-adhesive effect, which is suitable for scenes with higher anti-adhesive requirements; while a larger peel force has a relatively weaker anti-adhesive effect, which may be suitable for some uses that do not require strict anti-adhesive requirements.
The water drop angle test can also reflect the anti-adhesion effect of copperplate silicone paper from the side. When the water drop angle of the oil surface of silicone oil paper is greater than 90°, theoretically, its hydrophobicity is better and its anti-adhesion performance is relatively better. By measuring the contact angle formed by water droplets on the surface of silicone oil paper, the hydrophobic properties of its surface can be intuitively understood. A larger water drop angle means that water droplets are easier to roll off the surface of paper and are not easy to adhere to, which to a certain extent indicates that the surface of the paper is relatively smooth and has good anti-adhesion performance.
The performance in actual applications is also an important basis for measuring the anti-adhesion effect of copperplate silicone paper. In the field of food packaging, when copperplate silicone paper is used for baked food packaging, observe the adhesion of food to paper during baking and storage. If the food can be easily removed from the paper and there is no obvious residue on the surface of the paper, it means that its anti-adhesion effect is good; on the contrary, if the food is severely adhered to the paper, the paper is damaged when it is removed, or there are more paper debris on the surface of the food, it means that the anti-adhesion effect is not good. In industrial production, such as anti-adhesive protection for electronic products, check whether the product is damaged or degraded due to adhesion to paper during production and transportation, so as to evaluate whether the anti-adhesive performance of copperplate silicone paper meets production requirements.
In addition, temperature resistance testing is also indispensable. Under high temperature conditions, the anti-adhesive performance of copperplate silicone paper may change. By simulating the high temperature conditions in actual use, the paper is subjected to a heat resistance test to observe whether the anti-adhesive effect of the paper changes after the test. If the paper can still maintain good anti-adhesive performance after high temperature treatment, it means that its temperature resistance is good and suitable for applications in high temperature environments; if the anti-adhesive effect is significantly reduced, it means that its temperature resistance is insufficient and needs to be used within a specific temperature range.
Measuring the anti-adhesive effect of copperplate silicone paper requires the comprehensive use of multiple test methods and actual application observations. Only by comprehensively and accurately evaluating its anti-adhesive performance can we ensure that copperplate silicone paper plays the best role in different fields.
